Mark Stolan

Mark Stolan is a lifelong educator and has a strong passion for helping educators maximize their potential with technology.  He currently serves as the Senior Manager, Digital Platforms for New Tech Network.  In addition to his expertise on Learning Management Systems and leveraging technical tools such as AI in a PBL environment, Mark also brings experience serving as a founding member of the Lobo School of Innovation, a New Tech Network school in San Jose, CA founded in 2016.  He also got the unique opportunity to be a math teacher for 8 years and an assistant principal for 3 years at the middle school he attended as a student! Mark is a passionate believer in the ability for technology to shape the education experience for all students and is a strong advocate for integrating new technological tools into the classroom.

Aubrey Thompson

Aubrey Thompson is a professional idea-sparker, question-asker, and chaos-organizer who thrives at the intersection of curiosity and cocoa. As a classroom educator turned PBL whisperer, she now coaches teachers across the country to ditch the worksheets and design learning that actually matters. When she's not untangling standards or building wild cross-curricular projects, you’ll find her overthinking book club choices, planning vacations abroad, or convincing others that math can be fun. With a heart for storytelling and a love of big questions, Aubrey brings warmth, honesty, and a little humor to every conversation. She’s here to help educators rediscover the “why” behind their work—and have a little fun along the way.

Missy Saldana

Missy is a seasoned educator with over 25 years of experience in teaching and school leadership.  As a former high school English teacher, district instructional facilitator, and current New Tech Network School Development Coach, Missy specializes in supporting innovative, student-centered learning environments rooted in real-world connection. She’s deeply committed to sparking curiosity and helping schools cultivate deeper, more meaningful learning experiences. Fun fact: when she’s not coaching schools, she’s lacing up her roller skates as a member of El Paso Roller Derby in Texas.

Val Grijalva

Dr. Valerie Grijalva serves as a School Development Coach for the New Tech Network. Prior to this role, she was a district facilitator supporting a variety of adult learners in systemic change. A former elementary teacher with nearly 20 years experience in the education field, Valerie not only brings a wide range of experience, perspective, and knowledge, but also deeply believes in the power of joy, humor, and fun. Inspired by her two daughters, Val is devoted to cultivating safe and inclusive learning spaces where everyone can show up as their true, authentic selves.  She is passionate about building relationships & hearing stories.

Vincent Manor

Vincent Manor is a lifelong educator dedicated to helping both, educators and students, see themselves better while striving to leverage their current abilities to make themselves better. He currently serves as the School Development Coach for New Tech Network. In addition to his expertise on Culture Agency, Data Driven Learning and Research Based Instructional Practice, Vincent also brings experience with leadership development. His lens varies from his time as an instructional support to teachers, years in the classroom, as an instructional coach, administration roles, and supporting curriculum development. Vincent is a passionate believer about impact in the person and impact in the educational setting. He strives to continue being a life long learner while learning about the people around him. Being an advocate for student voice and integrating tools into the classroom he wants to continue shaping the educational experience for all students and staff.

Danae Boyd

Danae Boyd has taught middle and high school social studies since 1993 and joined the New Tech Network in 2013. She currently teaches Honors World Geography and AP Human Geography at New Tech High @ Coppell, helping learners explore how geography shapes our world. Guided by the belief that “there is no such thing as a lesser person,” Danae is passionate about human rights education and nurturing critical thinking. Her student-centered classrooms emphasize inquiry, empathy, and civic engagement. She loves exploring how geography influences culture, conflict, climate, and community—and inspires her students to do the same. Danae also thrives on collaborating with fellow educators to create purposeful, authentic learning that builds global awareness.

Henley Price

Henley Price teaches PreK at Gale Pond Alamo Elementary school in Odessa Tx. She has been teaching for 8 years, 6 years in special education and two in PreK. She went to school at Tarleton State University and got her bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Janelle Bence

Janelle Bence is a high school English teacher with 24 years of experience in Texas and a longtime National Writing Project member. Her work centers on identity, linking students to self, curriculum, and community. She collaborates with researchers to deepen her praxis and highlight Texas public schools. Currently, she is part of the Transdisciplinary Civic Composing Collective (UT Austin). Her writing appears in Civics for the World to Come (2023), Teaching for Equity, Justice, and Antiracism with Digital Literacy Practices (2024), and Building Civic Futures in K–12 Classrooms (2024). To reenergize, she does pottery, yoga, and sings in a band.

Jason Currie-Olson

Jason Currie-Olson is a veteran high school educator with 26 years of experience, currently teaching English Language Arts at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD. Known for his dynamic and student-centered approach, Mr. Olson emphasizes student voice, choice, and classroom innovation. He holds a Master of Arts in American Literature from South Dakota State University and is certified as an NTN PBL Trainer, Kagan Instructor, Crucial Conversations Instructor, and Boys Town Certified educator. His professional passions include innovative instruction, student engagement, and project-based learning. Mr. Olson is committed to fostering meaningful learning experiences that equip students for academic and professional success.

Laura Pacheco

Laura Pacheco is a dedicated educator with 14 years of experience, currently teaching middle school PE and high school health at the Young Women’s STEAM Prep Academy in El Paso ISD. A UTEP graduate, she holds a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.Ed. in Education. Now in her seventh year of implementing project-based learning (PBL), Laura leads recurring campus-wide PBL initiatives that foster real-world, meaningful learning—especially for girls pursuing STEAM. She also serves as a coach and campus athletic coordinator. Outside of school, Laura is a proud mother to her daughter, Alora, and wife to her supportive husband, Paul. She remains passionate about inspiring the next generation of women in STEAM through dynamic, student-centered learning.

Rebekah Deal

Rebekah has experience teaching both middle and high school math and has spent the past 11 years working in a New Tech Network school. Currently, she serves as an instructional coach at Handy Middle School in Bay City, MI, where she supports teachers in designing engaging, student-centered projects. She is passionate about helping educators create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, collaboration, and deeper understanding.
